The small CGI clips get glitchy and pixelated. Any fix?
For example, the quick clip that plays when you colonize a planet. Or the opening video.

They play fine for the first few seconds but then seem to slow down dramatically and then get very pixelated with black pixels.

Any reason why this is happening? Game otherwise plays fine with no other issues.

I have the same issue and I have no idea why.

Go to "DirectShow Filter Configuration -> ffdshow video decoder (x64)" via Codec Tweak Tools from K-Lite. Then disable the decoder for the H.264/AVC Format.

Sorry no clue what you're talking about. Are these third-party apps I have to install to fix this game? Or in game options?

yes itt is a third party program but i tested and i dont have the options

Okay.

Well, if I need a third-party program in order to fix a relativly basic game issue, that's kinda a bad sign (to me anyway).

Luckily I didn't buy the game, was just trying it during the free play weekend.

On a contrary, issue might arise after you use third-party codecs. The problem is that your system can't pick a right encoder for the video. By default Windows (7-10) should already provide you one.
