As with pretty much all of our UI systems, you can interrupt it with a simple right click.

I think a Option do Disable / Enable would be nice :)

System with 6 planets require total of 6 clicks to get through. Combine that with total planet in galaxy, it is more than 100 clicks per playthrough, so no, we need an option to disable it entirely.

Or 1 single right-click.
Still a disable option would be nice though.

Clicking to interrupt is not really enough though. It's all quite jarring, it becomes unpleasant after the umpteenth time of doing it. I have learned to actually dislike clicking on new systems now.

lol. While useleess, it is a beautiful feature. But you know what isn't useless? omg, every Amplitude UI ever. Seriously the most insanely good UI's I've ever had the pleasure to use, pretty much a boilerplate for how a UI should be. If this were any other game i would be grumpy about the system animation too, because nearly every other UI would either make you sit through it or require you to dismiss individually. Or they just wouldn't bother making pretty things. I'm glad there are pretty things, and when i'm not, right clickety!

It is kinda Amplitude thing. We complain about this in every single of their game since ES1. They mostly choose artistic aethestic over efficiency and practicle. At lease they did them pretty enough that we can tolerate compare to other game.

I did disable every notification though. I always check them anyway, i just don't need them to deep-throart me every single turn.

Indeed. Just annoying after the hundredth time. The file that controls it is surprisingly large, it seems they put a lot of effort into it. Which might explain the lack of option to turn it off. Nevertheless, should be easy enough to mod out (which will probably break achievements, damn it).

A good way of gaining support for your idea would be to create it on our platform, and have people throw in a vote: :steamhappy:

Sorry, Froggy....

I gotta vote for this one, too.
And if not yet posted, I'm gonna start one. (It's just THAT annoying!)

the problem is when you start the animation it freezes up the game after a few systems have been discovered so "right clicking" does not solve the issue, it's a really annoying thing that has caused the game to crash post turn 150 more than once

I appreciate the work that was put into it and it's a neat feature, but... I agree, it's usually a negative feeling every time it pops up. Like, "oh yeah, I didn't realize I hadn't discovered this yet. Okay, I'll wait..."

I think after seeing each planet type the first time, there's not really any new information being displayed to the player during these cinematic sequences. The planets don't seem terribly distinguishable from each other (within their type), whereas maybe if there was notable differences or maybe flavor text I'd be more inclined to linger there.
