Chain Gang functionality
Is there a way to choose the pop that is going to be eaten, or is it random?

I think... it prioritizes Minor races, with the highest number, then goes to original race when there are no minor races

Assuming the mechanics of the game are consistent, it would be nice if we could properly discriminate when queuing up chain gangs.

I had it eat my UE pop over Hissho, so I'm confused.

I've seen elsewhere that it decides based on what the new Pop that is currently in "production". However, this becomes a pretty serious problem when you produce sufficient Food that you produce a new Pop every turn. This seems to make it "eat" the next Pop in the sequence.

The sequence is visible in the Pop section of the panel on the left. It rotates from left to right, then wraps around to the left side again.

I had a Hissho pop in production, and it ate my UE. I had 4 UE and a single Hissho, but it ate one of the UEs.

I know this is kind of a problematic approach, but have a system dedicated to the chaingang program and ship all unwanted population there, while constantly performing chaingang. Like a gulag. Uergs, now i feel sick for proposing that.

Was UE in the queue after Horatio? Food gets processed before Industry, so the Horatio Pop would have been completed, rolling over to the next Pop type in the sequence.
