How many turns are you suppose to complete this game in
So maybe it's because it takes time to build an empire.

Maybe it's because I like to relish destroying my enemies.

Or maybe because it's because I like to play with only one victory condition, which the game allows you to do.

However I feel if a game offers you a specific way to play, you should be able to play it that way.

Doing so though usually means games that seem to run past 200 even 300 turns.

Yet I've been told this is a ton of turns. How I see it, this is the point when the game gets good.

I'm having stability issues though starting around turn 150 at the minimum and near 220 issues seem to crop up, mainly with the ability to go past your current turn.

I heard there is a memory leak with this game though as well?

Here is my question then.

Am I expecting too much to play these long games, or do you think once some of the bugs in this game are fixed and or the memory leak in this game is dealt with every player of this game should be able to run a session as long as they like?

I mean I guess it depends on what you're trying to do

For now to increase late game performance and stability issues I would disable Pirates

I'm a bit confused though if you play a certain way then you would be disabling the score victory which caps at 200 turns. Or are you trying to play score victory but want to go longer?

Actually I just got to turn 392
I defeated two empires already. I am playing the amphibian people.
My empire now takes up half the galaxy.

We have taken 2 systems so far from the sophons who seem to be the only challenger left.

The game still runs, but the turns start freezing here and there after this point.

I usually have to close the game, reset the computer start the game again and then play a few more turns until I encounter another problem.

The thing is, I don't mind if this is going to far, but at this point I have not completed the actual game, and only at this point do things start getting really good. Bloated empire for sure, but the condition I set the game to win at was

Only through domination.

I've been playing in sandbox.

Oh and yes I disabled pirates a while back. I haven't played a game with pirates in it for a long time.

Domination? I'm suprised its taking that long for you to get that far. Remember you only have to control their homeworlds, not elminate the entire empire. Just make a b-line for the home world, obliterate it, declear pease, then move onto the next empire

A "normal" game (with all settings on default) is supposed to last around 300 turns at release. Currently we have some balance issues as we're still adding features, but after the next update we will focus on balance and test more thoroughly the late-game.

But the key point is that we would like you to be able to play as you want, for as long as you want, and we hope you can achieve this through the many settings pre-game :)
