I can't save my game. Help!

Every time I save my game when I go back into the save/load screen there are no save files to choose from! Quick saving doesn't work either. I just lost 40 turns worth of game :(

It takes a few seconds sometimes. I lost a save once because I quit too fast after hitting the button, so now after I hit save I go back to the game, wait a few seconds, then go to the load menu and see if it's there yet, if not I repeat until it is. The game makes frequent autosaves by default though, you shouldn't lose more than a few turns.

No I mean it doesn't save at all... Not just a delay. And the auto save function appears to be completely broken on my game.

Sounds like a writing problem in your My Documents folder? Are you using an administrator session on your computer? Do you have writing permission on all folders?

If so, could you try saving , leave the game and share your latest diagnostics.html file?

i have the exact same problem. the thing is when i create a save myself or using a quicksave it wouldn't appear in "load" menu. so i forced to save more then once in order to actually save the game

yes i have administrator rights. also the problem occured only in late game (for me) around 300+ turn. here is the statistics, hope it's the right file

Got same problem here. I try to change the files name by deleting .tmp ,and my saving files sucessfuly appear on the load menu. But when I click the files and try to load them, I got stucked on the loading screen.

My problem is similar... except that it saved at first then about 40 hours in it won't save at all. I can't save or delete any files. I tried the new beta 1.0.25... but it doesn't seem to work. I have a Dell i7 with 16 gigs of ram.

Any windows update or configuration change between the first time it saved and when you can't anymore? This sounds like an admin rights issue... Else, do you try to verify the game's file from Steam?

Was there ever a fix for this? I can't scave either. I don't hang up or anything. I get the message to confirm a quick save, but I don't wind up with anything to load in the load menu. It doesn't seem to matter where I am in the game now.

Rato, try disabling or closing your anti-virus software for a second then saving a game.
Just a hunch, but worth a shot.

I have the same problem. The save files are in the Game´s folder in My documents folder created, but they have tmp extension and I can not see them in the game. I am running on the Windows 10 Home.

Could you try to load your saves using the 1.0.25 preview version of the game?
We fixed some saving issues with this version.

Try to change the files name by deleting .tmp and your save should appear on the loading screen.
