"By Your Command" achievement not working?

Hello,

I tried to complete the "By Your Command" achievement (As the United Empire use your influence to research Liquid Composites and buy a Carrier ship in the same turn), however it didn't trigger for me.
I bought with influence the needed tech, and then tried to buy first with influence, second time with money one carrier (named Dreadnought 2 by default).
Is the real way to trigger this achievement different from explanation?
I tried doing this at tutorial difficulty for warming up with new game logic, and other achievements triggered for me.

Please help, feels silly to miss it when I have resources to do this achievement.

Yes the United Empire achievements seem to be bugged. I also did not get it and the "Death Star" one where you have to destroy a terran planet with the planet cracker as the Empire also did not pop. Even destroyed 3 planets just to make sure.

Are you trying this with the stock UE or custom UE? Cause I used the stock UE and got the achievement and I think I saw in some thread that custom factions may not always get achievements. Though maybe there's a more recent bug that interferes with it, but I do know that it was working.

That's quite plausible. It may also be that those achievements don't work because the scenario was tutorial one. I won in the tutorial and got three difficulty-related win achievements but not the "win by United Empire" achievement.
