Ultrawide (21:9) scaling

I am playing in 3840x1600 and the backgrounds with the faction leaders are zoomed in such that their heads are cut off (not visible). Could you please change this setting and show the top part of the zoomed in background?

The way it is now it breaks the beautiful aesthetic of the game.

This only affects the UI not the background, see the images i added.

Does this happen in other areas of the game? I think i remember loading screen images having the top and bottom cut off in ES1.

The intro movies are streched from 16:9 to 21:9, which looks odd. I'd much prefer black bars.
I didn't play much, since i wait for a fix, but it seems that all backgrounds are zoomed in such that top and bottom parts are cut off.

just bough the game 3 days ago, tried to play with settings and what not and didn't find a way to display it properly. kinda break the immersion

Yeah, same here. Loading screen is zoomed in, too. Same with choosing faction, posted by floyd ryan. Is there no easy fix (delivered by next update) ? My resolution is 3440x1440.

Peoples buy exoctic screens and all games to be compatible with them.
I recomand everyone with such an desire to check if these have mode that allows them to work like standard models.

These "exotic" ones we talk about are supported, apart from loading and empire choice screen. So it should be ok to ask for fixing, as long as else it works as intended.

Of course it is ok to ask for such an thing. But exotic technologies are obviously always less tested so glitches are more likely to happen.

It's just not really exotic. I think ultrawide screens are not very rare among core gamers.

Using a 32:9 (5120x1440) and friend using this screen too.
