I thought it was more then big enough, that game took about 25 hours.
Then i played on "exeptional". I thought that was "colossal" but i choose the biggest size possible.
Maybe "colossal" seems to stick more in the mind as " woah big" then "exeptional".
I just checked my game and yes, i was playing on "exceptional". But i also was convinced for the past 25 hours of that match that the biggest size was "colossal". ^^"
The size is nice, finally a game a decent map size, i would still prefer if maps would be 3 or 4 times larger but this is decent size map.
Thanks for the screenshot.
How did the game run ??
i would leave the star amount but increase the physical size of the map so that the spaces between them is bigger, making the galaxy feel less crowded. this would also make constellations possible to maybe have more dead space between them, which would be an interesting option to play with.
It would be an interesting option to have, although I'm afraid it might somewhat dramatically affect balance: if new constellations and systems are a lot harder to find, those who have a focus on exploration will have a much easier time adjusting to the change than those who don't. :)
