Planet destroyer, is it useable?
Researched this tech and wanted to actually use it as well. Sadly i don't seem to have any ship that could use it. At least i can't find any hull that has access to the planet destroyer.

It is listed as "special module", so where can i put this? Starving whole systems is not exactly fun and due to the morale thing i can't take more systems, no matter how many AIs declare war :-(

You can only put the module on the largest hull, the carrier
You can fire it every 5 turns, if you move the ship that has it the timer resets
Good luck on destroying the whole universe :)

Stellaris has a mod that lets me kill Suns (Suncrusher).

I would pay real money for one of those in this game.

Sadly, destroy planet timer work for all ships with Crack planet module as one. Need timer for each ship with this module.

I'm playing as Vodyani and there's a lore quest Achievement to destroy 3 hot planets for this. Unfortunately, the module is not available in my list of modules. I've acquired the necessary technology for this and the technology tooltip even shows what the module icon is supposed to look like (a flaming planet).

But when I design a carrier, that icon is not available in any of the module types.

Its not in any of the categories. Confused me too at first.
You have to set the module view to "Show all" at the top. The planet cracker module will be at the very end. Since its a special module it does not belong to any of the categories and this is the only way to make it show up.
A bit of a oversight.

I think 5 turns is a bit too long. I get there should be a bit of a wait so you can't swoop in and blow up planets in an instant but 5 turns? Really long time to wait. Kinda ruins the fun of the weapon.

Put multiple planet destroyer carriers in one fleet. With 4 of them in one flotilla ( 24 CP) it took only 2 turns to charge between shots.

No clue if that was intended or is a bug since when you have 4 single Planet Crackers in one system all have the one 5 turn charge.

Weird, could you tell me your setup? I have 2 planet cracker fleets 1 has 2 in it and the other 3 but all take the 5 turn windup. If there's a way to cut down on that it would help in my goal of cracking the galaxy.

I noticed it the first time i had 4 planet cracker in a system. Two where at 3 turns to fire, one at 4 ,the last one at 5 . I combined them into a fleet and the charge timer showed "2". I waited 2 turns ,fired and it stayed at 2 for the next shot.
But that was the only time i saw that, it was a save game where i was just messing around.
It was also shortly after release so 1.02 or 1.03. Did not build a planet cracker since then because i was going for other victory conditions except supremacy. So no clue if it was a bug or not.
But if you say you cant replicate it in your game i am pretty sure it was bug that has been fixed by one of the updates since.
