Remove/Destroy Guardians?

Ive got unwanted guardians taking up population slots on some of my planets, is there anyway to get rid of them? Id don't want any pesky lower lifeforms taking up valuable space, no matter what benefit they may bring

In your system construction stuff you will have an item to sacrifice 1 guardian for a happiness boost. Use that and you'll destroy 1 guardian population.

If you aren't playing as Unfallen, then you can't remove them. Not only do they take up slots on your planets, but if you are enemies with the unfallen they provide some penalties to your systems.

If you emptied the system of all other pops, does Luxury Rations work?

I was just playing Lumeris and had a planet with a guardian on it. I had the system construction to sacrifice that guardian if I wanted to do so.

Really? That sounds like a bug. Was it a custum Lumeris faction?

Yeah, loaded up the Lumeris save just to double check fast. You can see the Guardian thing in the top right corner for me to be able to take 10 turns to convert it into a happiness boost. https://puu.sh/vVeNq/b5a28ca774.jpg
It even allows me to add it to my construction queue. It's a default Lumeris faction currently in a cold war with the Unfallen. I believe the AI did a probe to unlock the guardian in the system before I purchased the outpost.

hmm, maybe i need to research something first then, they dont seem to react like minor factions, so i cant attack them. Im playing as vodyani, so if worse comes to worse, i can just up and move to a system without guardians, but they be everywhere. The weeds of the universe.
