Deluxe Edition Pathfinder Heroes?

So it says "cosmetic" on the store page, but im a little confused. Does that mean they're skins/portraits that replace exsisting hereos, or are they 2 additional heroes?

Heroes are just portraits and names, they all share a small number of skill trees and function the same. The deluxe edition heroes are additional heroes, but they don't do anything differently from the existing heroes, they are just added to the fairly large pool of portraits and names that you get randomly each game.

im curious about the pathfinder ship skin, it says it makes it selectable for all heroes. I see there is a toggle for it in galaxy setup, but i wouldnt want every hero in the game to have the exact same ship? Besides the fact my first hero ingame doesnt have a ship anything like what the deluxe version is suppose to give, so im at a loss

They dont have the exact same ship, every type of hero ship gets a new 'pathfinder' skin basically makes hero ships white and red instead of just plain red
