Yep. 30 million active is definitely dead. Poor quality bait.
Maybe it isn't worth it to you personally, fair enough, but as an FYI to folks who don't know:
The EXP Bonus item(s), which they only release as pre-orders for the xpacs, alone are worth pre-ordering for if you plan to level more than one job to Lvl 100, the bonus lasts you to Lvl 90.
There will be 21 Disciple of War/Magic jobs, and 2 limited jobs with the release of Dawntrail and it's subsequent patches. The 30% EXP increase across all those jobs is a massive amount of saved time level grinding. Even if you have max level 90s currently, you still will get some benefit from the 2 new regular jobs (starting at 80) and the new limited job.
Also, you do get the EXP Bonus Item and the Minion shortly after pre-purchase from the Square Enix Store/Mogstation once your pre-order has registered according to the website: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/dawntrail/product/
Additional Perk (to some): Early Access
May You Ever Walk in the Light of Crystal <3
The PAX news about what the devs want to focus on in the next story cycle looks promising. Praise YoshiP and the entire team for the fact that they made FFXIV the game it is today.
See you all in Tural.
