How do I go to other servers houses?

Sorry I'm new to this. I see in chat promoting their places like "Raiden | Mist | Ward: 43 - Plot: 8" and I don't know what this means. I assume Raiden is a different server. Tried going to my home Athernet and it doesn't allow me to visit that place. Even if I could visit I would go to the ward and can't find the place...

Dephending on where your home server is you may have to make use of dc visit rather than just world visit.

At any major city Aetherite there should be an option to choose other world servers within that Data Center. For example, I'm on Mateus (Crystal DC) but can switch to Marlboro, Couerl, Balmung etc.

To switch to an entirely different Data Center however, needs to be done from the character select screen. Raiden would be on the Light DC, so if you're not in the same data center, step one is the character select screen to select where you want to go.

If you ARE on Light, then any city aetherite hub, will have the travel to a different world option.

Once there: Mist would be accessable through La Noscea (quest to unlock fast travel to it if you havent done that yet.) A list of wards show up, so you would select ward 43.

Once inside the ward, there are two different maps. The main map and a subdivision map. You will always come in at the marker named "Exchange". Mist Exchange, Goblet Exchange etc. Then from there you would check to see where plot 8 is actually located and you're good to go.

It's an entirely free service, at worst there may be times where server congestion may cause a very long waiting time or even unvisitable, but it's always free.

Correct. You're not actually changing servers in the sense of a Server Transfer, you're just visiting a different one. A few things do get cut off like certain chat channels, inability to check mail, retainer access etc. As Mint mentioned, there could be long wait times as the players that do call a given server "home" get preferential login.

It's a pretty common tactic to go server hopping like this when looking for good deals on the market board. Something too expensive on your home server? hop to a different one to see if it's cheaper. If it is? Score!
