Trying to activate license on steam

I played a while back on windows (not via steam) and now I wanted to give it a shot on my steamdeck as it's saying it's playable. I launched the game and was given an error about there not being a license. But before all this I got the license code and headed over to the mogstation. Both windows and steam platforms are greyed out. I paid for 30 days as well. Anyone know how I can fix the error?

If you're trying to add a Steam license key on your account that already has a Windows license, it won't work. You can only have one or the other.

The windows version should work fine on the Steam Deck though, I'm sure you can find a tutorial on how to install the game outside of Steam.

If you have a PC it might be easier to at least test the status of your account.

Just found this put thru a bunch of rude reddit people. That's very very annoying and dumb. Now I don't want to play and will just think i losr money on the ground.
