Does the Dawntrail DLC include the Endwalker DLC too ?
I would like to know if it works the same way as ppl say when I google it but I wanna be sure.
From what I can gather the DLC is only included on launch but what happens if I buy the Dawntrail DLC now ?

I'm confused by how it all works here on the Steam version...
Any help is appreciated. :D

it will when it releases. Its the same for any platform.

The latest DLC includes everything before it.

Dawntrail includes Endwalker, when it releases. If you don't own endwalker currently, you will have access to it when Dawntrail releases and when you add the key to your account and register it.

When dawntrail releases, the complete edition will just be dawntrail complete edition, including everything before it and including it.

Buying dawntrail but not owning endwalker does nothing for you now, only when it globally launches.

If you buy dawntrail now you get nothing but the preorder bonus code to redeem on the account website.
Once the actual release for Dawntrail happens you will get a code to redeem on the account management website that will give Dawntrail & the previous DLCs.

Thank you for the detailed response.
So since I'm only at the end of ARR it's probably not worth getting Endwalker now right ?

Nah, not at all.

Wait until dawntrail releases, and you are closer to the endgame, then just get the Dawntrail Complete Edition to make the most of your purchase.

No point in spending $40 now, and then $40 again, for something youre a few hundred hours away from, when you could just spend $40 later.

Basically, if you are starter edition or dont own endwalker now, just wait until youre ready and buy the Dawntrail DLC after release, then you will be able to access everything when you get to it

Once the actual codes for dawntrail itself go out(what you redeem on mogstation; CD Keys) you get Dawntrail & all the other DLCs.
Oh so I have to actually wait on a code I see.

it's about 40 days until Dawntrail releases; unless you only do the Main Scenario for the next 6 weeks you will still have plenty to do until then.
& even only doing Main Scenario could take that long depending on how many hours a week you put in

you're working through a story told over a Decade; it will be a bit long lol
But just remember; the story is one of the big draws of 14; it's a centerpiece of the game.
The story isn't a grind to catch up on to unlock content; the story is content

I always thought base game gives ARR and HW while the most current expansion gives all others.

Until recently, where they added STB to it as well.

Don't buy anything till you're done with Stormblood. Enjoy the story & all the other stuff 14 has.
