For most classes these things might only save like two or three slots on your hotbar, and those are worth sacrificing to be able to play properly without having to redo things if you get level synced or having to wait potential weeks to play just because a patch dropped.
Oh no. Dalamud gets broken with every content patch, regardless of how minor. Any update to the game that introduces new content and code will break Dalamud. Just because a plugin itself doesn't need to be updated for a patch doesn't mean it works immediately when a patch drops. Dalamud itself has to be patched. No Dalamud, no plugins.
As for the time it takes, it really depends. Sometimes it's only a matter of several hours, but there have been times it's taken over a week. It depends a lot on what Square Enix has done on their side. When we had to go through with this fiasco of having to be logged in on Steam in order to play it was hell for XIVLauncher. It took them several days to figure out how to deal with it.
I'm an ARPG player. Games like Path of Exile, or Grim Dawn, etc. 6 buttons fit all my attacks and moves, I'd simply prefer to make this game play the same. I'm not a 20+ button rotation person, which means I'm not an MMORPG player. I make the game adapt to me, not the other way around.
I've already gotten Ninja to level 60, still have a few main quests to finish, but my entire rotation is easily on 6 buttons, and Ninja is one of the most rotation heavy classes I hear. I don't miss a beat with any of my mudras. Could I play this class without this plugin? It would be a resounding NO.
I hear a lot of complaints about bad players in this game not using their rotations, I think the community would prefer people use this and just not say anything and put up good numbers, nobody knows or cares how they did it. So, IMHO bad players have even less of an excuse when stuff like XIVslothcombo exists.
Everything is able to archive without 3rd party stuff and i am happy that this game doesnt native support this . i dont want a second wow where thiong like "no dbm? you cant come with" exist. If you cant archive it without it then dont try it. Sorry maybe sound harsh and cold but in the End Yoshi P. Doesnt allow and want people using third party stuff to make it easy to get the Raid done and i love this decision.
and i dont know where do you need a plugin for Ninja. its not that hard to remember which buttons to press.
I the end its just a matter of training. You wanna chose the lazy way
I don't think she'll mind modding, so I will have to get it figured out how to get this going, but I'm confident I shouldn't have too hard of a time figuring it out. Dalamud is the point to start at?
It was pretty easy to setup, I simply followed the instructions. You won't find XIVslothcombo on the dalamud search, you have to google the github page, and add the link in dalamud.
I appreciate you!
