Square Enix is going to love that one lol
Are there any other cool programs like that? Other than Advanced Combat Tracker of course
There is also FFLogs, which allows you to upload your combat logs unto www.fflogs.com, where your performance can be ranked and you can get the info you need to get even better.
I myself use no plugin, but I know some who use it and I would totally use them if it would be legal.
There is also some really spicy stuff (basically cheats), upon which I will not elaborate further here.
Just know that any 3rd party program is illegal and can get you banned (realistically doesn't happen if you don't tell anyone)
Textool for moding
i guess
I just wonder how people will use them if people will cheat with them or
or if they'll use it more like the plugins in Runescape launchers
people cheat. especially in pvp.
but yea, i would aswell recomment it. tho, be aware of it that SE could suspend you if they notice somehow that you use this launcher, i mean without directly telling them or streaming it will they not know tho. even if you dont intend to use dhalamud and its plugin support is the sole use of the launcher already a ToS break because of the 3rd party thing and the support of plugins etc.
I don't even know if you can run FFXIV through Steam via just Proton, I don't think it worked too well for me for a while, you might be able to, but xivlauncher is so much better and it can hook into Steam so you can record all your hours and whatever else just fine anyway.
I used to have a workaround of renaming/deleting a certain file (steamapi64.dll) which many people suggested, but apparently that no longer works for me, as the launcher completely fails to open.
Going to give this a try and pray it works! I honestly regret ever purchasing FFXIV via Steam :'D
