wow use to be the hardest back in bc or maybe wotlk, from cata, till mop it's just easy mode..i beat garrosh at first time without even know the tactics, while i die 3 times in a lvl 35 dungeon of final fantasy..and you should considered that almost no one beat t13 (last raid of ff) so far in final fantasy..the only 'real' difficoult in wow mop was 'thok' in SoO, where many people use to die because they are no more accumusted (google translate here) to use some brain in a fight..just spammy spammy..
don't misunderstanding me, i'm a wow fan too, i start to play wow no stop from vanilla, until i discovered final fantasy..and pve speaking, is a better game in every aspect..but lack in a pvp content..i mean, frontline are really fun, and 3 team of 24 ppl fightning each other is really exciting, but i miss wow arena, wow battleground, and wow ashran, so i subbed both, ff for pve and a little for pvp wow exclusively for pvp, even is 10 more imbalanced than final fantasy..''you can't do that while stunned'' atleast in ff i play my character, in wow i play my char 2 sec every 20..
(sorry for my english)
Who has played both in their current state?!
I have played WOD beta and live. If you take away the Garrison and the Minor Character Model Update nothing has really changed. But to be honest every MMO gets that way before long.. MMOs are a living breathing thing.. and just like all living things, they will die. You can only pump so much into an MMO before its played out.
The same will happen to FFXIV. If XIV makes it as long as WOW has Im sure it will be just as hard to come up with a concept that is new and invigorating.
i played both (wow since vanilla, ff since 2.3), i have a lvl 100 lock and a lvl 100 pally, and a level 50 summoner/scholar, bard, and almost 50 ninja in ff...anyway..i use to be a BIG wow addicted, in wotlk i spent all of my free time in azeroth, but now, man..
i only have to say thank you square enix, because seriosly wow now really suck..and suck more if you compare it with final fantasy..
if only final fantasy had a smaller pvp queue and other type of battleground i will definitely leave wow for FF..i need pvp, and ff lack in pvp..on the other side, wow have a really nice type of battleground, i'm in love with arathi basin, warsong, alterac (and wintergrasp when was played)..i love it too much for leave..
frontlines are fun, i really enjoying it, but the 20 min+ queue and always the same map get old fast, but pvp per sè is better balanced than wow..(not so hard btw stun stun stun stun, sheep sheep, fear fear fear..back in wotlk was really well balanced, now wow suck also in pvp, but it's still the best and maybe more complete mmo in terms of pvp..)
TL;DR final fantasy xiv 2.4 beat WOW Draenor in every aspect but pvp.
final fantasy need more pvp map and modality for be better than wow completely.
(really sorry for my poor english..)
I actually could not stand it, to me it seemed like you were always putting up with not funny references and riding vehicles that 1 shot everything all 90% of the time. I specifically remember the lack of challenge being so non existant it was a complete chore. Again, just my opinion.
Wildstar ;P. Raids are disco floor twister
Well, I can see your point. But I did go through leveling before that when you had to unlock every FP, couldn't ride a horse forever, and even had to find your own groups to do dungeons. I thought it was pretty nice to go back through those levels on easy mode with some good jokes and cleaner questlines.
I actually thought the original leveling was a bit overwhelming, where every quest made you go back and forth between 4 different zones, and your quest log was always full, and there wasn't rerally any way to fast-travel.
Those were the days.... !!! World of Warcraft, what happened to you?
