Kinguin time card game
There is a store which you can purchase time card for FFXIV: http://www.kinguin.es/category/2448/final-fantasy-xiv-a-realm-reborn-eu-60-day-prepaid-time-game-card/#

This works on PS3, PS4 and PC versions because I have friends who purchase it and it worked. But none of them has the Steam version, only me. I don't know if that applies too to Steam version of FFXIV. It's more cheap then Mooglestation prices so I'm interested. Anyone knows for sure if this works also for Steam version?

The account days is moogle station matter and not steam matter, shouldn't be any problem, but, I need confirmation if possible.

Thank you, have a good day.

Time cards work with Steam copies.

One warning though, if you're using a European/Australian account, make sure the code is PAL. If your account is American, make sure the code is NTSC.

Yeah, is EU code.

Thanks for the answers.

All SE game time cards work on all SE games, as long as their 'region' matches. The same goes for FFXIV, Steam or non-Steam.

Yeah, it's a nice deal. When I bought cards last year as gifts, I was paying 27/30 or 52/60 for the cards. If you don't need the actual physical card, some stores will also knock off a bit more if they can just email you the code.

But are you sure it's still cheaper than the MS? You don't get the bulk discounts when you use game time cards.

Plan: Price / # of characters per server / total characters allowed (all servers combined)

USD Entry 30 day: $13 / 1 / 8 Standard 30 day: $15 / 8 / 40 Standard 90 day: $42 / 8 / 40 Standard 180 day: $78 / 8 / 40 Legacy 30 day: $10 / 8 / 40 Legacy 90 day: $27 / 8 / 40 Legacy 180 day: $48 / 8 / 40 £ (rounded up)/€ Entry 30 day: £8|€11 / 1 / 8 Standard 30 day: £9|€13 / 8 / 40 Standard 90 day: £27|€36 / 8 / 40 Standard 180 day: £47|€66 / 40 Steam Wallet (USD) 30 days: $15 90 days: $42 180 days: $78

60 days cost 18€, it's like 9€ per month with this time card. The 90 days is 36€ on mooglestation, which is 12€ month. I think is much better.

*Raises his hand*

I just bought a pre-paid card on the Square Enix Store EU,
but I don't know where I need to activate the code, I've tried it through Steam and it dind't work for me.

I tried it with "Enter Item Code" was obviously it dind't work either.
When I tried to do it through the Steam wallet thing, like I usually do it redirected me to Steam which was ok, but then I needed to give in me credit details and I don't own a credit card.

Cheers Sane

EDIT: Nevermind it suddenly worked.

As a general warning. If you ever link a website where the domain name has been censored, this isn't due to competition. Steam censors websites which are known scammers. You have to be VERY careful with game time card websites. Do you homework, only very, very few of them are legit and often they're dealing in stolen or "hacked" time codes. Codes which could land you in trouble if they are such a thing.

These sites don't care about the integrity of your account, only taking your money. So be warned. Always check on reddit and other sources to see if these sites are clean.

If that's the price, you might want to look around more. 18€ for 60 days is what Amazon is selling it for. Plus their s&h is free in some regions but it's still a nice deal, 27€ is the normal retail price on SE's store.

I don't know if you can still redeem PS3 or FFXIV 1.x PC game codes but those were dirt cheap and give 30 days game time too.

How did you end up using your prepay card? My account is only letting me pay via credit card or steam wallet and has no option for anything else. I just bought a game time card localy and can't use it.

Don't bother buying a prepaid card if you bought FFXIV on Steam. You cannot redeem them.. sadly. - Only by using Steam Wallet or a credit card.

Cheers
