It's tricky, and it'll cost you a fair bit of (thankfully only in-game) money, but it is actually surprisingly fun.
Good news, there isn't one! Each Final Fantasy game is a self-contained universe and story. Certain names and themes are carried over between each game but knowing them off-hand isn't necessary. Plus the Final Fantasy Wiki exists to help you out.
I personally find the ffxiv approach to crafting a breath of fresh air and enjoy it very much. Mithrie knows his stuff.
I wonder if this Worth the investment to be a full time crafter or not. Not that I will be one, but for instance in dark age of camelot crafters can make items better than the ones we can loot...
Have you got any link or something that will help me decide if this game is worth playing, some good websites about that?
Thanks
High Quality crafted gear might not be as good as drops from dungeons, but the stats are fairly close, and they're better simply because you don't have to rely on the RNG to get them. At level 50, yeah, you're better off with purchased items or dungeon drops (You can't craft anything close to Augmented Ironworks or Dreadwyrm gear, for instance) but everything before that, crafting still has its perks.

Here is a steam guide about crafting, the thing is, with expansion coming out later on this month, all crafting guides will become mostly outdated. I suggest to try the free trial, and unlock crafting classes and see if you enjoy it. I believe you can become a crafter or gatherer at level 10. Have a go at crafting and try get your first one to level 15 to see if you like the system.
guess it depends on your server for how much armor goes for,im on cerberus and make alot out of crafting lol.
For example:
Currently, end game is Final Coil of Bahamut. The min ilvl required to start is 110 to do the first Turn (T1 - 110, T2 - 115, T3 - 120, T4 - 123 or something to that effect).
You can either fully equip yourself with crafted gears ilvl 110 (highest crafted level) which when fully melded with materia give a lot more bonuses than any other ilvl 110 from raid or token purchases.
The other 2 alternatives are raiding Second Coil of Bahamut which give ilvl 110 and token (soldiery) that has no weekly cap which is ilvl 110.
There is of course a weekly cap ilvl 120-130 token purchase. However, as this is weekly capped, it is impossible to purchase more than 1 (they recently doubled the cap to prepare for expansion so 2) piece a week, with the weapons taking 3 weeks and body/pant taking 2 weeks. At current double cap you still take 1.5 weeks for the weapon and 1 week for the body/pants.
