question about armour
so i'm level 25 and just bought chest armour that covers my head, so i lose out on wearing a helmt,,,, does that mean i lose out on stats? or is it better/equal too having a helmet

Generally speaking, chest pieces that also take up a head gear slot have higher stats than a chest piece on it's on, to make up for the loss (which is something to keep in mind when comparing pieces you'll loot later on).

Basically, compare the stats on the items and you'll notice a difference. Go with what gives you the higher collective boost.

What Jaylew said.

Usually a piece that takes up two slots, such as head/chest, or legs/feet, costs less than buying both seperate head/chest or leg/feet pieces. This tends to be the only benefit, so it's definitely worth checking out the level 25 head and chest pieces and adding the stats up.

seeing as i didn't know that i've already bought the piece so when it comes to upgrade my gear again i'll check thanks :)

Those armours that cover head and body are never worth it. If you wear a chest+helmet thats up to date with your current level then it's 90% of the time higher in defense than the armour that takes 2 slots.
