uh ... leave the 2fa empty if you dont have it activated ... reading helps sometimes.
am surprised that you got the link process behind you without getting your account stuck in limbo ... which often happens when peoples dont read.
I remember using the security token "keychain" in ffxi for 2fa... good times.

did the person who stole your stuff also maybe add 2FA? you should contact customer support maybe. they will probably be able to help you. unless you bought gold/power leveling and that's how you were compromised, in which case they'll probably ban you.

If you see a url advertising a free mount or gil in game please don't go to that. That's how they steal your stuff.

If the login screen is telling you to put in 2fa, and you never added 2fa to your account, that just means the person who stole your stuff is the one that added 2fa to your account, locking you from accessing it. Contact support.

They can still access mogstation/lodestone/etc without logging into Steam. So that's probably how they added 2fa to the account. (and probably changed the password and such)
And the scammers just need to hit the right support staff that lets them link the account to a new steam account. Probably easier than stealing the steam account.
