FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Duty Finder Not Finding ANY people
Hey. Sorry for a potentially stupid question but why can't I find literally anyone for AAR story dungeons and trials? I'm on the free trial so I can't use Party Finder. I can wait for like 30 mins and it still would be just me in the queue. One single DPS. No tank, no healer, no second DPS. Feels like I'm shadowbanned or something lol. It's so boring to play these long ass missions with bots but even the duty roulette doesn't send people to me for some reason. I am playing on Tonberry (JP) and yes, I have enabled all languages in the DF settings. Didn't help a bit sadly.

For the record, I'm on the Titan trial right now (Lvl 34 quest) and have never met any other player in the queue for any previous dungeon/trial. Tried waiting like 20-25 mins - no result.

Light is usually lively. Depends on your timezone. Light should properly kick off in a few hours but even now should be active enough.
The main factor for finding people in the duty finder is the time of the day you are queueing in. If you are queuing at dead times for JP then it doesn't really matter which data center you are on or which languages you have selected.

I don't know much about the JP population, but you have 4 data centers to try out. I don't know if that rule applies to JP as they have a slightly different way of doing things but in NA a good tell if it's populated is looking at the party finder, and if there's a sizeable amount of parties looking for people then it is populated. I'd try traveling to all 4 of them and compare the party finder size, or doing some research online about JP data center population. On a normal population, a low level MSQ queue should pop within 15 if you're a DPS, 5 minutes if you'Re a tank, instantly or almost instantly if you'Re a healer. So another way to try to mitigate this is simply queue those as a healer.

He's on a JP data center, he cannot travel to Light as it is a european data center. The only data center that accepts worldwide travel is Materia, because Oceania is that much dead. Traveling on Materia for the purpose of better queue would be utterly useless. Traveling on Materia is only really useful if you have friends on data centers you can't travel to, you can all meet on Materia.

The truth no one wants to say is low level content for new players is dead. I once took my sprout alt to queue for Orbonne and the timer capped out at 999:99 or something like that. :cuphead:

Thanks for the advice. I live in Japan and I queue after work so from around 7-8 pm. Isn't this considered prime time?

Are you in elemental or mana? People have been packing in mana to do CAR.

You're getting them in your roulette because some poor sprout has been sitting waiting for their queue to fill for 3 hours.

I would believe that if it was kinda rare, but when it's almost every day I don't think that's true.

A couple weeks ago I manually queued into a Nier raid to get some glam and I only waited about 10minutes as a DPS, which is standard.
