FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Can I touch end-game content without completing MSQ?
I want to do raids like FRU etc...

No, you'll need to complete the story up to the expansion of the content wanted and you'll usually need to completely the savage raid set of that expansion to access the wanted Ultimate. FRU for example, will require you to finish the DT MSQ to access the raid in the first place and M4S (the savage raid set of the expansion.)

You can buy an MSQ skip, it'll skip everything but dawntrail.
You don't need to complete the whole MSQ. You can do UCOB and UWU after completing Stormblood. TEA after completing Shb. DSR and TOP after completing Ew. And FRU after completing Dt.

Generally I wouldn't recommend attempting ultimate until you've done a savage tier as current content though, so for most people I would recommend waiting until you've completed the MSQ to start ultimate.

Don't you need to complete the last of a savage tier anyway to do ultimates or was that changed?

You only need to unlock it. Example: E4S unlocks TEA, you don't need to clear it synced either to get the unlock.

you can buy the MSQ skip at their shop, i believe its 5$ for each expansion and there is also a bundle with some discount

you can also choose one job to get right to lvl 90 with everything completed, the only thing you will need to do is the latest MSQ of the last expansion

Yeah, but you can be carried through the old ones unsynced by a few lvl 100 players. I've done UCOB/UWU unlocks for people with 3 players.
Hah, nope. Either trudge through hundreds of hours of cutscenes, trudge through several dozen hours cutscene skipping, or paying SE money to story/level skip.

Though, I don't think Ultimate raiders are gonna want someone who skipped and has no idea how to play the game.

It's not as though many players who play through the game normally have any clue what they are doing in remotely difficult content either. Hell, most can't even be bothered to do the simplest ♥♥♥♥ in dungeons.
It's okay guys, I'm playing for the story too. Currently at Endwalker so I'll just play normally. I come from WoW Mythic raiding so all good, slow and steady..
