FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

The official anti cheat waiting room of 7.21 and 7.25.
How will the cheaters respond? Will they just quit playing and find a new game? :lunar2019piginablanket:

How will I goon to this game when they will do that? That's the only reason to play this game.
Cosmetic mods likely won't be jeopardized at all but that is just my guess. They're implementing a server side anti cheat to stop hackers who teleport under the map in pvp for example.
I remember when people developed a script to win that mini-game from event with Fall guys, just to get some title. Not even a weapon to deal more dmg, just title. Insane stuff.

They won't do anything about plugins in 7.2. I think the current plan is to make the game so bad that the cheaters get sick of it and move on.

Even cheaters are affected by the sunk cost fallacy. They'll gladly cheat their way to the top in the worst smelling pile of ♥♥♥♥ so that they'll feel superior to all the other maggots crawling in it.

TBF, no one even cares anymore about this as far as gameplay is concerned. It's a full-on Barbie & Ken virtual house party simulator now and that's what brings in the sub money.

Ultimates & Savages are cleared with XIVcombo 1-button forks + full mechanics overlays, I saw people fly hacking/glitching up the tree in the jumping puzzle GATE, there are bots killing mobs from underground everywhere and there are boards where people ask for freaking Mahjong & Verminion hacks.

Maybe the japanese people on jp servers can enjoy their little safe space where mostly everyone is on console and it's a different culture but in the west this is nothing more than the infamous Diablo II or whatever other game that has been hacked & RMT'ed to death.

A while back I literally saw a post where somebody offered money for hack that would help him clear the DDs solo like, that is how absolutely desperate the crowd in this game is.

They won't do anything with plugins. If they do, this game will die. Modders are keeping the servers alive, not your free trial sprout.

Modders acting uppity and thinking they're somehow the majority of players just makes me wish for an anti-cheat even more.

I don't know about die, but they certainly are one of the biggest subscriber bases in the game, especially during down times and this god awful expansion. Now would be the absolute worst time to come cracking down on modders.

I do believe that XIV would lose tons of people if they cracked down on modding. Like legit slash their sub revenue by half.

Every second person on my server is using mods and mare, not to mention ACT and Cacbot.

The only information from the Live Letter is that they're improving the blacklist system due to the malicious plug-in. Dunno where OP is getting their information about "plug-ins ending in 7.2".

He's doesn't have any information. Causality is just trolling about mods, he does this every few weeks. Not a patch has gone by where Causality hasn't said THIS one is going to be the end of modding and he's never been right and isn't likely to ever be.

That said, Yoshi-P was definitely very disappointed about the stalker plugin, and if there was ever a time for them to be the most disillusioned with the player base it would be after that debacle. Still, I think they know better than to implement some blanket ban on modding rather than going after the plugin creator and threaten legal action, which they did suggest they would look into pursuing.
I wholeheartedly would support an anti-cheat in this game. Purely to see how many people actually would stop playing.

I hope that is the case. While I don't have an issue with plug-ins at all(play how you want to play, doesn't bother me)I hope they do pursue legal action towards it's creator.
will you keep or delete this thread when nothing happens in 7.2?

True! This is what most Dark Souls/Elden Ring pvp streamers do with things like golem arrows for example. I'll never understand the motivation to cheat in casual games, I mean at least they should cheat in something that has a big payout.

You can't delete threads after a certain number of replies.

Why do you give these posts from causality the time of day?
