Where it went wrong? There was WAY too much tell instead of show. The new expansion MC was just hammered upon you in the most annoying way possible. That was my biggest gripe. I found myself so annoyed with the story that I was skipping. I never did that before in a FF game, let alone XIV!

And before anyone cries, it has nothing to do with the actor. I didn't mind the acting at all.

The formula of the addons has gotten so predictable and boring over the years. DT could have been a good start to finally change something fundamentally... try something new, take some risks, trying new things... (more seamless connected zones, bigger focus on exploration, add less zones but more side content, add some MSQ zones with the patches, change the dungeon structure, give us some rpg elements and class progression, give us a grounded story without a world ending crisis, without the scions)... but no, same old same old...

Given the statement that SE's CEO put out at the start of 2024 about aiming to start using AI "aggressively", I really wouldn't be surprised if certain aspects of Dawntrail were written by AI.

It would certainly explain how formulaic it is and how rigidly it adheres to the format of previous content while being completely devoid of the soul.

I was going to watch all of this but then she said it was an analysis of Dawntrail MSQ at the start. I haven't cared at all about the story since ShB so my opinion of DT is mostly positive because of the optional content being leagues better than anything we got since SB. The EW extremes were not fun, EW only had a few fun savage raids like P2S, P4S, P5S and P12S. Speaking of savage raids please kindly delete P3S from my memory and refund me my time spent towards it.

The YouTube algorithm strongly prefers 10 minute videos and will push those much harder than long form content. The YouTube algorithm also strongly prefers creators who upload regularly.

You don't upload nothing for months and then upload a high effort 1 hour and 15 minute video if you're farming engagement. That just isn't how this works. If you want to farm engagement, you pump out low effort short videos consistently for a long period of time.

Trying to dismiss 1 hour and 15 minutes of carefully considered feedback on something as content farming is pure copium.

Jumping on hot topics is how they keep their viewership up and try gain further internet renown.she did it during the content droubt last expansion.

Hearing any of this from Zepla kinda diminishes any credibility almost immediately.

All she has successfully done the last couple years is betray her community to go suck on Asmongold's e-peen in an attempt to leech of his success and it didn't pan out well for her. Members of her own community left and don't even trust that her opinions are her's anymore. Why should anyone else?

You could agree with every point made in that video and it still isn't going to matter to most people. She destroyed her reputation in the XIV community.

She was pretty much the first big streamer to start saying the game is ♥♥♥♥. What does that have anything to do with asmongold?
You do know there was a streamer before her who was bullied out of the community with doxxing and death threats for saying the same stuff as she did?
