What happens if I purchase the 1 char sub

So i am right now in the 8 char sub, but i do only have 1 char, what happens if i choose 1 char sub next time? Is it even possible?

You failed to actually answer OPs question - What happens if they subscribe to the "1 Character per server" model, aka. "Entry" (as opposed to Standard)

The answer as far as I can tell is that your oldest character on each server becomes the only accessible one for as long as you are on the Entry plan (unless you delete or move that character to another server)

if you downgrade your sub, and have more than 1 character on the same world, then you'll lose access to the characters that got created after the first one on that world

If you already only had 1 character on that world, then nothing will happen if you change it, other than not being able to make another character on that world

entry is 1 character per world up to 8 characters total

standard is 8 characters per world up to 40 characters total

edit: and yes you can change your sub type whenever you want, you don't lose the extra characters, you just can't login with them

...Did you read the rest of my post? People have to stop selectively twisting posts to make it look worse than it is. The rest of my post literally explains that I thought he meant the same one you think about. Both the entry and standard sub include "8 characters" except one of them is spread around all datacenters while the other one allows all of them in a single one.

So again, it was a misunderstanding based on poor wording. I tried my best with what I got.

But...you still made no mention of what would happen to existing characters. No one cares what you thought he meant.

No, it actually matters because if I thought he was already on entry sub, why would I think that he had many characters to begin with? Read the OP, it says "I do only have 1 char". Of course he would only have 1 char if he was on entry sub. Context matters. If he doesn't have any extra characters anyway then changing sub wouldn't matter anyway. Nothing happens.

The wording of the OP is what created this confusion. Being an ass by not understanding my explanation of why it confused me (or the context behind it) to attack me instead of reading and understanding is why this discussion is even happening to begin with. Now, I know that he was actually on standard sub but he only has one character anyway. I'm not "butthurt", lol.

Nice edit but yes, had no choice but to make that clear since people were making a big deal over "BUT YOU'RE WRONG", which yes I think I know by now. The confusion was still legit so how hard is it to accept that? It's not like I freaking gave the wrong answer on purpose.

Except you are completely disregarding the thread title in your argument. "What happens if I buy the 1 character sub?" The thread title combined with OPs statement about being on the "8 character sub" clearly makes a difference between subs, and since we know the options are "entry" or "standard", those have to be what he's referring to, since logically he wouldn't be referring to something that doesn't exist.
Combine this with the fact that most players do not play on multiple servers, and inferring what OP is actually asking about *is* easy and as such answering his actual question is correct and what you did was argue semantics.
