Registering an account through Steam

Okay. so my husband tried playing FF 14 using trial version. He just played for a couple of days and said he wanted this game so we bought it.
We installed it and when it asked us 'create an accoun\log in using existing account' we tried to log in using his old trial account. Yes, that was a mistake. I genereally thought it would recognize steam version and automatically upgrade trial 14 days account to normal account (not trial). But it didn't: on the character screen it says 'you have 9 days left'.

SO THE QUESTION IS: how do we create a new account using Steam to gain access to 30 trial days of subscription that goes with Steam version we bought? Because when I got my FF14 (on Steam) and registered an account it gave me 30 days of subscription. Since we are from Russia it costs much less on Steam then through Mog station (yeah, they scaled the price down for us) so we need to use Steam only.

Big welcome to you and your husband to FF14.

You haven't done any mistakes really so don't worry about that at all.

What you need your husband to do is upgrade his free trial account to a full account. If he has bought the game from steam, he will get a code.

In you Library go to FF14 and click the CD Key button like in this image. http://i.imgur.com/2iemble.png

Now that you have you code, tell your husband to go to Mogstation from here http://sqex.to/Msp and log into his free trial account.

From there, there should be an option like "Upgrade to full version" or "Enter full version code" or something. Sorry I don't have any images or anything or know exactly what is said since I have the full version. Just look for somewhere to put in that code you found from clicking "CD Key" on the Library and put it in and your husband will have 30 days just like you.
