FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

The gooning problem: SaGa Ogre Revengeance
I never really had a problem with gooners or cosmetic modders who kept to themselves and their own communities but for the past several years there have been players that will mod your character on their screens and straight up put them in pornographic situations without your consent.

Now obviously this is only a problem inasmuch the offender makes their intent and deeds known but the generous 'don't ask, show or tell' policy offered by the devs falls to flagrant displays of abuse by ne'er do wells who get their amusement by ruining the game for other people. Compounding on the issue of cheaters/hackers and you have to wonder if Yoshida even remembers his pledge about protecting the game and players. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Except you easily can? You know, you can change gear / outfits and even apply your penumbra collections to specific players? It's obviously client sided. Be more specific what you mean, because glamourer and all those modding tools let you change everything, but not to synced people by default.
You wouldn't even need all that, because you can technically just save their character and do whatever you want with brio or ktisis.
no, you cant anymore, keep your mouth shut if you have no idea how it works and what for changes got made to prevent that peoples do ♥♥♥♥ against others will, expecially the "undress" part etc.
but peoples which dont use that stuff have for some reason the best idea "how things work".
I just tested all this, and while I'd love if it wasn't possible, I was easily able to change both glamourer look and penumbra mods on a random person I saw in Gridania

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Glad to know I'm finally getting the recognition I deserve around here. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Us 35-40 year old bald men need to stick together in these trying times. :lunar2019coolpig:
If it makes you feel better. A guy told me it was cool to see an all natural red hrothgal look good.......

Because I was the only one that guy as seen so far who doesn't use mods. In Balmung BTW.

Wish I took a screenshot of that whole conversation..... :|

But still. It was so bad, the guy asked me for my sync code or whatever right away to so that he could see or have my gunblade glamour, the one from Ktisis Hyperborea. Even when I told him where I got it from, he thought that place was something off-game.

penumbra and glamourer changed stuff that you can NOT longer undress a player character against their will. and thats since 2 years like this.
why do you think goes that one dude on balmung around and whispers peoples with "can you wear this please". cause he cant force it anymore onto peoples xD

why do you throw always false informations around? are you reading outdated twitter posts from 5 years ago or something like that? xD

it is absolutely still possible though, nothing stops you from making your own replacement textures and you can examine players to know exactly which textures you need to replace

wrong, you cant undress anymore another player without their consent.
you can only "turn yourself" into them but then are you not "that specific player" it is YOU. and everyone could certainly look like the player you just copied.

like, there are so many lalafell which look EXACTLY like me when i turn my long hair mod, and ear mods off. that does not mean that those lalafell are me.

so, just because you clone the look onto yourself turns you not into them.

what i mean is simply that you can not undress another player in your glamourer against their will and you can also not pose them against their will (which is what causality wrote that it is appereanrly possible).

you can see what they wear etc. and what they choosen on char customization yes. but you can not walk with your own character up to them, undress them and then doing things to them xD.
Stop buying gold. No more bots.

I know. You're going to tell me that's NOT what it's about. I know that. We ALL know EXACTLY what it's about.

Also, stop buying gold.

i think you missed the entire point, all you need to do is check what gear they have and replace the textures of those items with transparent ones

that would also not work, you cant redress player characters anymore in glamourer. in like, you cant do ANYTHING TO THEM other then copying their appereance (which i already explained).
even if you would load a mod which makes their current worn glam "transparent" is that a useless thing. many parts are under the official amors/clothing/whatever alphas.

for example, the new variant dungeon outfit which looks like a dancer outfit.
you´d thing you could glimpse on the side into it or thinking it has no alpha there have i to disapoint you
aka this
https://gyazo.com/c329e626da7ac86b75d68833380d43fe
so, for example; even if you would make ittransparent aka the "gear" or "glam" it would work but... what would you see? nothing. the parts which you WANT to see are simply not there. thats the case with a ton of other gear to avoid "clipping" etc.
