But you can get 650 tome gear pretty lazily just by doing dailies with a 90. And that is literally the gear that FF14 has that is the endgame set, if you don't plan on doing savage raids.
Yes, BIS is better, because its, well BIS. But you don't have to obtain it. The 650 Tome set/augmented set when it releases is more than usable for anything endgame that isn't... aka.. savage and ultimates
Heck, you can just get away with 640 from crafted/normal raids, and you'll still contribute well enough to everything (though it helps to have a relic on top of that- weapons contribute a lot to your stats/damage).
Tome gear and or crafted gear could be enough.
And if you have cleared the content that drops said BiS then of course there is no more content to do apart from ultimate xD imagine complaining about completing content and realising you have no content left to done once you complete it O_O
Also it sounds like you're complaining about nraid as "high end content" since you just roll on the loot in Savage raids and if your rolls are good you can sweep all the loot from a fight, the "4 tokens a week" is for normal raids.
You can completely remove the RNG from the gearing process by joining a static.
But i doubt anything will change to be fair i dont really see many ppl with the raid gears anyway its mostly 650 gears.
ha!
...Yes, next year. When Dawntrail releases. We're not getting another ilvl increase until then, Savage and augmented tome gear will remain the BiS items in 6.5 since the araid gear will be ilvl 650. Am I missing the joke here or something?
