Did This Get A File Size Squish Recently?
Just wondering because I haven't played since 6.1 but I noticed on PS5 it's only like 43gbs, 13gbs on PS4 but last time I played on PC it was like over 80gbs. Was there a file squish recently or is there a lot more crap on the PC version that apparently doesn't need to be there?

It's less than 70gbs on my pc. Not sure if they did a file size reduction.

Now, I do not own a PS, so could be talking outta my arse here, but don't they have file size reduction on PS, like on the console itself? Could explain why the PC version is so much bigger

the reason why console files sizes are smaller is usually having the lower quality Demos. Less textures since they don't have the options to play on ultra high graphics or very low graphic options.

Having multiple variation Texture files add up. the higher quality pre-rendered cutscenes are, the Larger the video file.
Ps4 demo videos i believe are mostly if not all 720p.

The game is smaller on PS5 because all games runs from a SSD and there's no need to have duplicated data in order to reduce seek times for HDDs.

I don't think that's it because it's on my SSD on PC as well...

Your PC install has the duplicated data anyway. It's included to accommodate for PC players still running the game on a HDD.

On PS5, developers know that games can only run from a SSD. No need to optimize the install to reduce HDD seek times.
