Character and Object Quantity... how the metrics work?
I know exactly what this does and how. After a very extensive online search I cannot get an answer as to HOW it works.

Best I can tell it limits within a radius. But what is the count that is limited and what is the radius at every option (high, med, low, etc.).

For example is High like 40 characters within 40 in game feet? Etc.

Fairly certain these settings are not well documented because they have no impact in instanced content or PVP.

I wish we could just make that unlimited. My PC can handle it just fine and it looks super weird to have people fade in and out from around you.

Your PC might....the server might not...especially with the current population overburdening the servers have to endure as is..

If you're talking about the player character pop-in/out that happens when there's a lot of people in one area that has nothing to do with your PC specs. The server does that so it doesn't have to send as much information to and from clients in game. Like especially when they had the make it rain campaign, if they actually showed everyone who was playing the Yojimbo GATE for instance then you wouldn't even be able to see the AOEs.

Even if you have the best GPU and the best internet, it would still be like this because it's how the servers handle it.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Yes, I'm perfectly aware of the server limitation. And I have no questions about my PC setup.

I know there is no "unlimited." I think I read somewhere that 48 characters is the onscreen limit? I don't know.

My question is what are the limiting metrics when you choose a lower option under Character and Object Quantity.

Clearly each tier lowers the count of what "pops in." Does anyone know how that works?
