Need a reliable macro guide

I found a macro guide on reddit, it was for the purpose of making those collapsible hotbars with macros. the ones where you click a keybind and it pops a hotbar up, you click on the macros and it brings up a list of your jobs you can switch to instantly with a key press.

I need a noob proof guide on how to do this, i tried following the guide on reddit, but it did not explain everything and i could not get the macros and hotbars to work because of this.

I search on youtube "FFXIV Macro Guide" and I get tons of guides, some older than others, lots and lots of "do's and don'ts". Took me thirty seconds.

I don't want to waste your time and just link one video that could be old and outdated but I'm sure if you do what I did, you can find a proper video. x

/hotbar display # off
/hotbar display # on
/hotbar copy (class) # share #

display # on/off: display the share hotbar #
copy (class) #: will copy the entire hotbar of that class to the share #
(class): needs to be abbreviation and without brackets ie ARC, THM, LNC ect


The way to do this trick is to use a class hotbar and set up all you need from them, you'll possibly use more than one class to make a pretty looking one. Remember to check your character setting to set up shared hotbar, you will need at least 2 to make this work.
I took sometime to research this a few years back to make one for myself but I totally forgot the basics of it, so I only remember this much.
