Increase font and color changes?
Is there a way to increase the text size of the chat? Also is there a way to change the above player name colors? I can't seem to find options for that?

You can also try the little gear symbol at the bottom of the chat box window. I forget how I changed it, but I did make the chat text size bigger at some point. It was probably what Yenkei said.
