Installing FFXIV: A Realm Reborn after Trail.

Not sure if this is a common issue but

After purchasing the game, and trying to install A Realm Reborn/DLC steam installer get's stuck on "Creating local files" and won't budge, have been forced to play the Trail version of the game on a paid account.

I believe the issues lies in steams app manifest. It would seem it's not identifying the game as being purchased since going into appmanifest_39210 file and changing "Last Owner" to numbers identifying my account it reverts back to "0" upon trying to install the game every time.

This has to be fixed by a steam dev, but wondering has anyone from the steam community found any other ways around this?

I had the same problem but I just deleted the appmanifest_39210 file and restarted steam. My library got updated that is the trial version was removed and replaced with the full game icon.

Yeah tried that, did not work for me. Just uninstalled the trail version and reinstalling FFXIV now while servers are in maintenance.

deleting the appmanifest_39210 worked for me, it loaded the launcher, still had upgrade to full version button showing, but i just logged in normally and it started to download the dlc
