FINAL FANTASY XIV Online
Does anyone else find grinding MGP insanely tedious?
The only real way to do it is via the Challenge Log, but even then all of the challenges are insanely tedious except for the Triple Triad and complete minigames challenges.

Chocobo racing is awful, winning 10 races is basically impossible if you don't sink time into breeding your Chocobo's, which I really do not want to do, ever.
Lord of Verminion is Lord of Verminion and even spamming the tutorial 5 times makes me want to eat paste instead because it'd be a more interesting experience.

No wonder people use bots for grinding MGP, it's so tedious it's unbelievable.

60k for 80 points. And starting next week is Make It Rain event for additional 50% MGP
Do your weeklies involving gold saucer. Can literally make 100k each week without issue or intense grinding.
ive racked up 500k and i rarely even go to the gold saucer.. honestly dont know where it all came from lmfao

80 points. There are guides posted on reddit on how to get it with minimal effort every week.
For the current one: stablemaid's hat dyed bone white and any pants dyed bone white = 80 points.

Wait until monday to do it though.

The Lord of Vermillion and Chocobo Racing weeklies are tedious as hell though.

They're nothing compared to simply queuing for Doman Mahjong in terms of tedium, trust me. Also, you might find it tedious now, but eventually, you'll have more MGP than you'll know what to do with, I currently have 4.5mil MGP with nothing worth spending it on.
do the chocobo and gates + weegly like 400k

Do the 20/40/60 minute challenges.

Do the challenge log and keep an eye on when it resets.

Spam "Out on a limb" https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/6ef8mh/grinding_out_on_a_limb_gs_minigame_hitting_a_fake/

Also grinds are meant to be grindy? wouldn't feel less rewarding if it was just given to you?

Difference being grinds can be fun, which most grinds in FFXIV are. This one isn't and it sticks out like a sore thumb.
There's nothing worth grinding for there aside from the mounts. Just play the minigames whenever you feel like it.

This sticks out? I guess you haven't heard of ARR relics, Eureka and part of the resistance relic steps.

Also as to the topic just do it a little bit each time then. And of course you aren't going to win chocobo races without putting any effort in but you can still win with putting just a small bit of effort in without needing to breed.
Take advantage of the moogle tomestone event when it comes. That's 50,000 mgp each with every 30 tomes traded in.
Lord of Verminion takes about 7 minutes to complete 5 games if you do the level 4 training mode where you fight the boss monster. There are probably better minions for it but I spawn as many Wind-up Firions as possible and just sit them in the middle hitting the group attack when it comes up. Monster knocks them away once then he's alternating a melee swing or two and sitting in stunlock for just under 1:10 each round if he behaves and stays mid which is 95% of the time. It's super simple and a ton of MGP for no effort.

I do 1-2 at a time if I'm feeling really lazy.
