Can someone with little time play this game?
Hey there, i'm a working guy and most of the time i come home quite late and have 3-4 hours to play and sometimes less. On weekends i have full days 2 days.
Is it enough to progress in this game or not?

That's pretty much what I have as well. So far it hasn't been an issue.

yes, the story is long however there's a lot of fun activities to do and it's MUCH MUCH less of a gear treadmill like WoW, where every patch and expansion nullifies what you obtained and did.

More chill and friendly community.

I'm still new but there are clear differences, let me take one example :

In WoW you have to grind until you get the right drop : raid/dungeon-M+/Weekly Vault.
In FFXIV, you have RNG drops BUT you also get currencies (think of WotLK but better), that will allow you to get what you want/BiS.

Hardest content isn't DPS/Gear checks but how well you play, which is what it should be about.

Did you manage to get up to high level?

Hmm sounds cool. Is there a pvp too or its just mainly PvE?

I'm still new, currently ~43ish. So I can't speak of the endgame.

I work 50 hours a week and have not had much trouble finding time to play. It depends on your work life balance and commitments I suppose.

The question was more of i will be able to progress in the game with that amount of time and not actually finding the time.

No problem, play at your own pace whenever you want. Do be warned however, if you value your available time, you will at times find the game's attempts to waste your time frustrating. Waiting on queues, empty filler quests that just have you running around et cetera.

This game really can test your patience.

The game isn't designed to pressure you into playing, so you can definitely play it as you'd like. But through my own experience I've discovered that it isn't the pressure to play that makes it somewhat of an obstacle for my productivity and personal life, but the amount of time it takes to do certain things. Wanting to just go through the story and some other content is perfectly doable, but if you want to like level a bunch of different classes, ask yourself if you're willing to put those 4 hours of free time into grinding some dungeons or doing whatever else you can do. For this reason I tend to come back to this game whenever I have free days, not free hours.

This game respects your time, so you should be fine.

That's more than enough to progress, even if you wanted to do all of the side content

Can you guys recommend me a good youtube channel for this game? its a quite massive game to learn

The lead dev and creative director himself has stated many times they dont expect you to play all day ever day, and the design in the game is 100% reflective of this.

It respects your time on a level that coming from WOW .... honestly is infuriating to compare .... you had this notion of how things were done and felt it was fair and then you find out no ... they were hoping you didn't know about what others are doing.

If you dont play this for a few days ... you dont feel like you are a month behind in progress .... and the systems in place to offer "catch up" like rested XP and such are CONSIDERABLY more rewarding.

You could login for 20mins a day and do 1 single dungeon roulette and level a full level in those 20mins every day.
