why the excalibur and hyperion world have "legacy" in their description?

i bought the game and now i need to select a world, all worlds have (NA) and the Excalibur and Hyperion world have different descriptions, are (NA Legacy), anyone tells me why this?

AFAIK Legacy servers are ment for people who played the original Final Fantasy XIV. But anyone can use them these days... lol

Legacy servers are the resemblance of the first servers made for the game.

Besides the population, legacy and not legacy are the same, there is no difference, except the population and the economy.

Balmung has gained a reputation to be the unnofficial Role Playing server for NA, though.

legacy are servers where the version 1.0 players had their characters imported there

Like cevess said, legacy servers are where characters from 1.0 were transferred to.
THis means that legacy worlds generally have a higher population and more money floating around in their economy.
