You're paying for teleport utility and a mount.

Hardly a scam.

You want marriage? Take the free one.

Choices are the worst types of scams, everything should just be manditory.

Do have to say though, the hour ahead of others thing was kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that was forcing so many platinum plans the first week or two, so people could even get married.

If you don't want a Premium then shut up complaining. Every other MMO that has Marriage always has a COST for those who want a Premium items.

nothing should cost $40 in a pay to play game.

It doesn't have to cost $40, that's the thing. It's not a scam because it doesn't give you ANY advantage. The only advantage to getting married is the ring, to teleport to your partner, and that's free.

40 if YOU'RE buying both rings.

Yeah...gender doesn't matter in this case as much as you'd think. Let's just say Eorzea is a lot more progressive than our own world...
