Level 45-50

Im at level 45 and my leveling has ground to a halt. Anyone know some reliable xp sources to get past this milestone?

North thanalan FATES or Dzameal darkhold + Aurum Vale (44 and 47 dungeons).

Except Leves are not really useful past level 30 unless you're a crafter or gatherer (they can give a nice boost if you only need a bit of exp to reach the next level but you're much better joining a FATE party in Northern Thanalan)

Beyond level 30, leves kind of stop being worth the xp they give for DoW/M. They remain useful up to level 60 for crafters and gatherers, however.

As for 45-50, My suggestion is the same as above. Either join a Northern Thanalan FATE group, grind out Dzamael Darkhold and Aurum Vale, or both: Do N.Than FATEs while in queue for those two dungeons.

DD and AV both require a certain Grand Company rank, IIRC. If you need a promotion to unlock them, the FATEs will give you the needed seals.

Nah you don't need GC rank to unlock them, you use them to rank up in GC. you pick them up in Western Thanalan at Horizon I think.

I'm running a level 45 (now 48) in that area, doing those levequests. You get just as much from them as from FATEs. But since you're soloing them it can take longer unless you're the only one in the zone, in which case FATEs will take longer.

Just have to remember to increase the level of the levequests and not leave it on the default. Or go to Mor Dhona and do the levequests/FATEs there while waiting on the DF.

Why do FATE/DF when you can do Leves, FATEs and the DF.

PS If a DF pops, just run and abandon the leve/FATE.

PSS The Challenge Log gives a nice weekly bonus to some things like completing 20 leves and doing 5 different categories of leves. Worth a decent FATE or two.

PSS Leves can drop some NQ gear... and you get to see what they drop before you take them.
