Use for tomestones of astronomy after i got all my gear?

You could buy gear, put it on a chocobo/retainer and wait until you can desynth it maybe?

The mats aren't anything special from the other tomestome stuff I've desynthed while leveling.

No idea how long it takes to add stuff to desynth list. Might be when the next set of gear gets released. So 6.2.

There's also selling them for a pittance of gil, or trade them in for company seals.

If someone is reaching the cap, and doesn't want alt job gear, then there's nothing really else to do.

The current tombstones (whether that's astronomy or whatever comes next) unfortunately are useful for nothing but current endgame gear, with no way to flip it into other currencies, not even GC seals. Radiant gear will, eventually though I'm not sure exactly when, be tradeable to your GC for seals and desynthable, but by then it won't be top tier gear anymore.

only use atm is for alt gear

not sure if you can sell the gear for seals ? that could get you mats to sell tho not crazy good ones but wont be capped at lest + can try the minion/mount boxes for seals

You can't trade astronomy gear for seals, no. The best use for spare tomestones of astronomy at the minute is gearing alt jobs.
