I had bought the game to play with a friend who invited me (I didn't get a place to enter his recommendation). I dont want to waste my 30 days attempting to join a server that never opens. What do I do? I just want to play on the same server as my friend.

You can try to make your character between 3 am and 7 am PST, it's usually the best window of opportunity to create a character in the worlds with creation restrictions, otherwise your only other choice is to create a character in another server and transfer it (Meeting the criteria for it).

Gilgamesh is one of the most populated NA servers, so the character creation restrictions will remain for a long time.

It costs money but you can also start on another server, get to I think its level 15, then server transfer to Gilgamesh with no time restrictions.

Just keep trying, it closes to new character creation when there are a certain number of players already loggged in. When it drops below this number it opens to new characters and can change by the minute.

Best time to catch is off hours for the server.

They limit how many can be on a server at once to keep performance up.

Hours? People try for weeks to get on to the busy servers. Good luck and keep trying.

Oh if its gonna take that long just to play...might not be worth it now. I wouldn't want to pay for an attempt at actual game time. :/

Just do what I did, the servers all all open after maintanece. I got on Gilgamesh and Excaliber in the hour after the last maintanence.

Been trying since the 4th. Asking for a refund but its hard to explain that I was clicking refresh on Gilgamesh for 12 hours.

During periods of high congestion, we may institute a temporary restriction on the creation of new characters.
This information will be updated at the following intervals:
3:00 a.m./ 7:00 a.m./ 0:00 p.m./ 5:00 p.m./ 10:00 p.m. (PST)

Those are the times when you should check out. It is very likely that the servers will be open tonight after maintenance ends, but they won't be open for long.

The character has to be 3 days old to transfer.
