The store says I own Heavensward yet...
yet when I'm in game, when I try to teleport to a Heavensward area, I get a message that I am unable to access this content. How do I access Heavensward in game? It's already been downloaded, just like ARR. Thanks!

You need to register the Heavensward code in MogStation. Ownership in steam doesn't automatically apply it to your account.

Seraphna is right, same thing happened to me, you need select FFXIV in the game list and click on CD Key on the right hand side, copy said key to the clipboard then log into the mog station and add that Key to your FFXIV account. After that all you have to to is log in and Heavensward will download then your good to go.

Alright, I just tried to enter the key I got, and Mogstation tells me "the entered code has already been registered". Not sure what to do now. My account does list both ARR & HW for both the platforms I use....

Does the Mog Station show that you HW? If so you shoudl be able to access the HW content once it has downloaded.

Quick check, load the game and create a new character and see if you have the Au Ru race available. If you do then you are good to go.

Also about the teleporting to the new areas. You have to complete the main storyline for ARR and continue the main story line until you get the quest to enter Ishgard. Once there you can attune yourself to the Atheryte crystal to teleport there.

Did you finish the Main Scenario Quests up to Heavensward? There are a ton more quests and duties after the fight with the Ultima Weapon that you need to finish before you can access Heavensward locations. They're all level 50 but they give small amounts of XP so you'll be about 51-52 by the time you reach Heavensward. It's a great boost that helps you carry the momentum.

I'm using the same character (Au Ra) that I used to get to Heavensward on my ps4. I can use my Au Ra character on Steam, even as a level 60 WAR. I have already attuned all the way to Azys Lla on this account. I just can't teleport to any Heavensward area despite me being a level 60 WAR Au Ra.

You need a copy of the expansion per platform you plan to use. You can "use" the character, but not access the content without the registered expansion.

Are you using your PS4 code in Mog Station or your Steam one? Click CD Keys when selecting the game in your steam library to get your Steam Heavensward key

When I try to buy the Heavensward expansion on Steam, it says I already own it. I clicked on the CD key in Steam and entered it into the Mogstation, and Mogstation says it's already registered. The game just says I haven't installed the expansion, but in my Steam front page it says "installed"....

(I started a tinypic account just to show what I see when I open Steam). I looked all over for "options" and cannot find it, much less where "Install expansion" is. I'm sorry, I just started on Steam a week ago and am still trying to figure it out. I'm appreciative for everyone's help in this.

I said open the Launcher.

Steam is not the Launcher.

The Launcher is what loads after you press "Play" on Steam. It's where you log in. You'll find an options tab (little gear icon) on there before you log in. That's where you set the download.

If you're ever looking at Steam and using it to guage how your FFXIV install is working, you're already doing it wrong.

(For that matter, never ever ever use "Verify Game Cache / Files" in Steam with this game unless you really want to redownload the entire game twice.)
