Same with the codes being traded/shared in this thread... whats your Point?

For anyone that isnt understanding it, the codes in here and from Humble Bumble are for FIRST-TIME FFXIV Accounts, also they are all NON-STEAM, when you register an account at Square-Enix for FFXIV, you are asked to input the code for the game, that code is the one being traded/shared here. the code is only for a License for FFXIV, said license also happens to grant 30-days Free for new accounts. It cannot be used to extend or be added onto a pre-existing account. (people need to stop calling it a 30-day free code)

TL;DR
-The Code is for a Free copy of FF14, which just happens to include 30-days free.
-The code will not work to get your the steam version of FFXIV.
-Only way to own FFXV on Steam is to buy the $19.99 game from steam.
-All codes flying around are all for non-steam; only redeemable by new FF14 accounts.
-Yes, you can create a new account for free and use the code.
-No, the code cannot be used to extend an expired/ongoing Subscription. (could be wrong about the expired part, but then we go back to, this is a Game code, not a Game-Time code)
