Can't get free trial to work

Do I just have to make a new email/square account? Long ago I tried to get into this but I did nothing and let the 30 days burn away. I wanted to give it another try but no matter what I do the trial doesn't work.

Its saying I already have FFXIV for another platform registered to it, I'm not sure what it's talking about.

Steam version is not working, and the website itself is not letting me download anything. So IDK what to do.

Edit: I'm going to assume those who did a 30 day free trial can't just switch that account to the... you know forever free trial up to 70 that is available?

Steam shows that you own a game that means no trial for you here. Make new email and get trial for windows

Since you own the game on Steam, you are excluded from using the Free Trial.

As mentioned above, your only option is to try the Windows PC version.

you can either pay the sub and try again or make a new trial account from the website and launch the game client from the steam folder that will allow you to play the trial on your current instalation of the game the default installation path is

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY XIV Online\boot\ffxivboot64.exe

Keep in mind by doint that you'll play another account and start from Zero and if you enjoy this time you'll have 2 options

1° buy another copy of the game straight from Square enix store and keep the progress from the trial

2° find the info of your old account and resub it and start from where you stoped last time during your first 30 days
