Unable to complete version check [30605][20447][20526]

Restarted my comp several times, changed wifi, restarted router, edited boot cfg file and verified integrity of steam files but the error still pops up. Are servers down?

Am also a paid user of Endwalker

The launcher is old and still relies on Internet Explorer settings/libraries. Try this:
RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ResetIEtoDefaults
Then restart.

There is a 3rd party launcher which is infinitely better but you'll have to research that option yourself.

Using a VPN and connecting to Japan let me get past the version check. Every other solution I checked on the net didn't help with this.

Using a VPN worked....i dont know what is causing this issue

having the same issue for past 4hrs, forget playing cant even start the laucher. do devs know of this issue?

i strongly believe this issue is only for Free Trial players.
Dont be like me, I uninstalled the game to try fixing it, now I can find the button to reinstall hahaha
