There's already a fkton of em in-game, so i kinda doubt it.
If you're dumb enough to run said 3rd party software while in a VAC-secured server in a VAC-protected game, since VAC does pick it up that way.
But even then, its not like all people get achievements to compete? Some just want cool or dumb feats to feature on their profile. I mean, I flex climbing the Mountain in Getting Over It 50 times. Did it purely for the achievement even knowing I can just cheat to get it. It was relatively fun and now I have a dumb image on my showcase to show for it.
Except you don't even need to have the game installed, never mind connect to a server. No one is getting banned for using SAM to unlock achievements and no one cares about achievements as a result.
And yes, VAC can still pick up SAM. You don't have to run it in the middle of a VAC game, but if you do, your dumb ass will be punished because VAC does consider it a red flag, period.

Trying to pretend that people are getting VAC banned for software that doesn't even require you to run the game is weak. Kind of hard to get VAC banned when VAC isn't running and the software isn't interacting with any games at all my dude.
It picks up signatures from the background, among other things.
If SAM is running while VAC is running, it WILL flag you. There's nothing else to add here. That's how it works. Period.
The fact that you don't have to be running a VAC game is undisputable and was never my point in the first place.
But if you're dumb enough to run it at the same time as a VAC game, you WILL get punished for it.

i like to achievement hunt in games but only in SP games. i have a couple of completed games. i did not use any cheat programs.
however mosley is right that too many use these programs and it's very obvious when they do.
GTA V for example. every achievement gained at the exact same second.
i won't put down those who want to do it on SP games, but not MP games, that's scummy behaviour.
Yes, I know how VAC works. It's only active while you're connected to a VAC secured server and SAM doesn't require you to have the game open or be connected to a server, therefore is undetectable. The end.
Sorry, but SAM *is* detectable by VAC, no matter how hard you're going to try and spin it. The fact that it's easy to not be punished for it is completely beside the point I was making since the beginning, its too bad you just refuse to understand that for whatever reason and try to spin the narrative so it fits you.
What exactly is this argument? You don't need third party software to 100% a game.

There are some people on this community forum who go out of there way to hijack threads with their views and desire to enforce their smug superiority in front of others.
We're all a bit frayed around here between login queues and just the simple fact that MMOs in general breed a competitive nature between players. We're all a bit guilty of some asinine behavior around here.
