seriously, SquareEnix is missing out on some easy money with as 'well received' as this expansion has been.

let me buy my way out of this horribly mediocre story so I can get to these new dungeons already!!

Tales of Adventure? Erm, I guess you don't spend much in the online store... its an account purchase you can make that catches your characters story progression up to whatever expansion you bought the 'ToA' pack for;

if you want to run dungeons from Endwalker but haven't finished the story yet and don't honestly care to, you can buy the Endwalker Tales of Adventure and you'll unlock access to the dungeons and raids associated with that expansion.

There is also a separate store option to level your character to the max level for [Whatever] expansion... but my issue is I'm already level 100 and just want access to the end-game dungeons without having to suffer through this outright offensively bad Dawntrail story or milktoast catlady.

level 100 WM craving some dungeon action but I cancelled my sub until i can buy out of this story, because... No, just no to dawntrail.

If you want to skip the story just skip every cutscenes, it won't take that much time.

You'll be able to buy a Tales of Adventure for 7.0 when 8.0 launches. That's when the online store adds them. They offer skips to the most recent expansion, not skips of the most recent expansion.

The solo instances and dungeons take too much time, especially for someone like me who has alt's. I finished DT on my main and now doing it simultaneously on 7 characters. I wish I could skip it. I even bought the SDS Fenrir because other mounts are so slow.

I don'T think solo instances and dungeons are the problem, he just wants to skip the story. DT dungeons are fun anyways, if you don't like these you probably just shouldn't play.

to be fair, i skipped most of the fights with Thancred and pretty much anyone who isn't my character, I hate being forced into playing a character or class I didn't decide to play, but at least the story was bearable for the previous expansions, and they didn't seem to force you to do so much as another character... I get that it was half the idea of the expansion a "vacation" and "Break from the norm" but what I didn't want was to run around playing a different character for half the expansion... they could have gone back and tied up loose ends from countless stories from previous expansions and that would still have been a 'break from the norm' of nigh impending doom. But no, in the end we're stuck with Dawntrail storywriting which feels like it was done by the most basic of A.I.

it was only possible thanks to Tales Of Adventure being available as a means to access dungeons and raids without of suffering through the story or mandatory NPC vs NPC fights...

I find Tales of Adventure to be quite useful as a means to skip ahead when you've out-leveled the story content and don't have the time, patience or desire to slog through the story or being forced to fight as *not* your character.
