Most content can now be ran with an NPC party, and even if you don't queuing does not take long at all. It is a very popular MMO with a large active playerbase.
Saying all of this is pointless though, seeing as how you're criticizing a game you don't even own.
First of all, furry, I'm not criticizing the game. I'm just pointing out a specific frustration in an otherwise solid game, so it's fair feedback. Second, not everyone plays the Steam version. Lastly, I know most content can be run with NPCs, but then you've got stuff like The Chrysalis, which once took me 3 days to find people for.
If you're having trouble finding people in queue, server hop to see if there are more people on another region. The game gives you plenty of options. The Chrysalis, unfortunately, is a very old Trial that not a lot of people queue for anymore specifically. Which is moreso the fault of Square for not putting it in the roulette rotation more often.
I did not mean to offend, Mr. Furry. Just sharing my thoughts on the game. I get that server hopping can help, but it’s not a guaranteed fix, especially during off-peak times. And yeah, having older trials like The Chrysalis in the roulette more often would definitely make it easier.
so what matters in this game is Piety ,,... each time you cast a spell it will CUT your piety which is 1000
be warned ,,...
I have rerun the MSQ not too long ago to get an alt character to a higher level quick and I did not have this problem, however this problem may occur in some situations.
The only way you have poor wait times for content and no way to remedy this poor wait time is if you are on the Materia data center. If you are on any other data center you can simply travel to a more populated data center and queue there. Alternatively swap to a healer or a tank for queues is also an easy way to get fast queue times; leveling multiple jobs while doing the MSQ is encouraged, since you will waste EXP if you don't.
Another way is simply using the PF, quite a decent amount of people will hop in on a PF simply to get the first clear tomestone bonus, since this is a quick run.
If you are indeed stuck on Materia, my condolences.
So you'd rather just engage with the boring fetch quests, boring solo special duties, and boring paragraphs of dialogue where people stand around doing limited emotes. Ok....
Forcing group instances for outdated content just to progress the main story is.
It is not a problem though, unless you are on a poorly populated data center, which there is only 2 as far as I know, and only one of them don't allow travel.
It only really is an issue if you're on Materia.
It might become a problem one day (?) but right now the population of the game is pretty high.
I get that it may not be an issue for everyone, but it still feels like a bad design choice when content can become inaccessible if populations drop. It shouldn't depend on being on a specific data center to enjoy the story. Plus, not everyone will be on a high-population server forever.
Eh, the Materia DC problem is a little bit more complicated than that.
DC traveling is the fix, and it works pretty well. Granted, it's not advertised very well, this could be the actual problem IMHO.
