You cant use your steam FF14 account elsewhere anyway.
Where did you buy it from, what is it, Starter/Complete or Dawntrail?
Are you playing via the Steam library or the Windows PC client?
Square Enix can assist you by changing the region of used CD keys, so they aren't wasted, and from what I know, they can remove them from a wrong region account and activate a new key on a correct region account.
So in case you want to sort it out so you can play, there are options.
Basic rule is, for Steam, the game is going to have to match the Steam account region.
Thus, the SE and Steam accounts need to be set to the same region.
This sort of thing, while annoying, is because this game features through Steam, regional pricing for its subscription, which many people used to take advantage of and abuse.
It could be written better, but there is a warning.
Hey, my friend had same issue. but on same page have 2 versions (Pal and NA) and we cant know which one is the NA version. Im from brazil btw .. i think is a mistake from steam store https://i.gyazo.com/f575942dd47edc14109ac91cce41bd6c.png
there's nothing to lose to have 2 account
I did contact support but all they told me is to contact steam support since I used a "third party" to buy it. And when I want to contact steam support they are telling me to contact SE. What kinda circlejerk is this :")
